After a short break in the cosmopolitan metropolis of Singapore, this journey travels the length of the Malay Peninsula to the island of Penang in the north, visiting the 15th century capital Malacca, the Cameron Highlands and the vibrant capital of Kuala Lumpur.

Day 1 To Singapore: Fly from London to Singapore, via Kuala Lumpur, with Malaysia Airlines. (N) |
Day 2 Singapore: Morning arrival and transfer to the Mandarin Oriental for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure. (N) |
Day 3 Singapore: Morning city tour, visiting the Civic District, Merlion Park, Thian Hock Keng Temple and the National Orchid Garden. Take high tea at the legendary Raffles Hotel this afternoon. (B) |
Day 4 To Malacca: This morning, drive over the Malaysian border to Malacca, once a major hub in the Orient, and stay at the Majestic Malacca for 1 night. Afternoon Malacca city tour. This evening, enjoy a Baba Nyonya dinner, a special blend of Chinese & Malay cooking. (B, D) |
Day 5 To Kuala Lumpur: Morning at leisure with optional tours available. This afternoon, depart by road for Kuala Lumpur and stay 2 nights at the Mandarin Oriental. (B) |
Day 6 Kuala Lumpur: Morning city tour, visiting the National Monument, Independence Square, the Selangor Club and KL Tower for breathtaking views of the city. Afternoon at leisure before a traditional Malay dinner at Bijan Restaurant. (B, D) |
Day 7 To Cameron Highlands: Morning drive to the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia's largest hill station, stopping at an Aboriginal village en route. Stay 2 nights at the colonial-style Cameron Highlands Resort. (B). |
Day 8 Cameron Highlands: This morning, visit a tea plantation and local market. Afternoon at leisure to take an optional tour, such as a nature walk, or enjoy a game of golf at the resort. (B) |
Day 9 To Penang: Depart by road for Penang, once known as ‘the Pearl of the Orient' and the oldest British settlement in Malaysia. Stay at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel for 2 nights. (B, L) |
Day 10 Penang: Morning tour of Penang, including Fort Cornwallis, Dragon Mountain Hall and Chinatown. (B) |
Day 11 To London: This afternoon, transfer to the airport and fly to London, via Kuala Lumpur. (B) |

Beach Extensions: Malaysia has an excellent selection of beach resorts. Travel to Pangkor and Langkawi is recommended year round, although the heaviest rains occur between July and November. The Tanjong Jara on the east coast is best visited between February and September. |
