Sicily is a very different Italian experience, and we're excited to introduce it to you – everything from UNESCO World Heritage Sites and stunning cathedrals to creepy catacombs and the majestic Mt Etna. This trip moves at a good pace but still gives you the perfect mix of fun activities and free time – and incredible cuisine, of course. Find out why Sicily is one of Italy’s true hidden gems.
Day 1 Catania
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Catania/Palermo
Depart for Palermo in the morning. Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation walk around town. Then, opt to visit the local fruit and fish market with your CEO.
Day 3 Palermo
Visit Monreale and check out the beautiful views of La Conca d'Oro Valley. Visit the Norman cathedral before enjoying a free afternoon back in Palermo.
Day 4 Palermo/Ragusa
Travel to Ragusa and take an orientation walk of the old town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Baroque architecture. Enjoy an included wine tasting with local snacks.
Day 5 Ragusa/Siracusa
Head to Modica, famous for its Baroque architecture. Visit the historic centre and enjoy a cheese tasting and a light lunch. Travel to Scicli and opt to see the Church of San Matteo before continuing on to Siracusa (Syracuse).
Day 6 Siracusa/Randazzo
Enjoy a free morning in this UNESCO-listed Greco-Roman seaside city. Opt to visit the historic centre, marvel at the ruins, visit the Duomo, or laze on the beach. In the afternoon, drive to Randazzo. Stay in a farmhouse and enjoy a local dinner.
Day 7 Randazzo/Catania
Visit famous Mt Etna. Hike the south side past lava flows for a dramatic view. Opt for a more strenuous trek with a local guide (weather permitting). Continue on to Catania.
Day 8 Catania
Depart at any time.
