Paxos is exquisite, a superlative spot to simply rest, relax and recharge batteries depleted by day-to-day life. Yet despite its obvious natural attractions and enviable selection of private villas, this island has precious few hotels. As the name suggests, Purple Apricot presents a rather irreverent take on the standard hotel style, refreshingly unconventional and aimed at those who value individuality and personal service. Each suite is an eclectic one-off; bohemian, flamboyant and a touch exotic, all individually styled by designer Jaxx Russell Flint, who lives on the island for part of the year and understands perfectly Paxos' laid-back appeal. The emphasis is on rich colours and textures both inside and out, a vibrant tapestry to fire all the senses. At the heart of the hotel is the swimming pool with delightful sea views and a comfortable relaxation area festooned with bright floor cushions and adorned with Eastern-inspired tables, lanterns and candles as day melts into dusk. Breakfast is served under a silvery canopy of trees and the gardens are subtly landscaped to create private spaces for rest and contemplation. Yet however relaxed the atmosphere, the Simpson standards are maintained, thanks to our own concierge who personally oversees the running of the hotel. By combining exciting new design with our traditional hallmarks of warmth, friendliness and unobtrusive professionalism, Purple Apricot has proved a very successful addition to our Simpson Hotel portfolio: our own collection of hotels with soul and a passion for personal service, regardless of star rating. Transfers
  • Corfu airport to Corfu port is either by taxi, minibus or bus 10min
  • Waiting time at Corfu port is usually between 1hr to 2hrs at the port café where there is an area to store luggage 
  • Corfu port to Paxos port is by hydrofoil, sea taxi or ferry and depending on the mode of transport the journey will take between 1hr 10mins to 2hrs 15mins
